Safety-Kleen is proud to provide trackside environmental services at almost every major racing venue in America.
Hosting an event of the size and scope of the 2nd annual SCAG Power Equipment PRO Superstar Shootout, February 6-8, 2025, takes community support as well as support from nationally recognized service providers. The Professional Racers and Owners (PRO) Organization today announced Safety-Kleen as The Official Environmental Service Company for the three-day racing and entertainment event set for Bradenton Motorsports Park.
“Safety-Kleen is the national leader in oil remediation and making sure we minimize the impact of our racing on the facility through proven oil containment and removal processes is very important. Safety-Kleen is the absolute best at what they do,” said Chad Head, PRO Vice President.
By collecting and re-refining used oil, Safety-Kleen closes the loop for the life cycle of oil. Safety-Kleen is proud to provide trackside environmental services at almost every major racing venue in America. Professional racing requires professional service. Safety-Kleen is the official trackside environmental service provider for the biggest races in the world, including the 2025 SCAG PRO Superstar Shootout. An average warmup and run in a Top Fuel dragster or Funny Car consumes seven gallons of oil per run. During the SCAG PRO Superstar Shootout as well as the testing leading up to the three-day race an average race team will make over a dozen runs. With Top Fuel and Funny Car teams participating plus Pro Stock, the importance of fluid management is critical.
“We have been working with NHRA teams for decades and they have been at the forefront of recycling oil,” said Drew Patey with Safety-Kleen. “Over the years and at drag racing events Safety-Kleen collects oil filter, absorbent material and used oil – all will be recycled into useable products This kind of recycling makes a huge difference on so many levels. We are excited again to be providing our services for the SCAG PRO Superstar Shootout.”
